About

I am an undergraduate Creative Writing student at Southern New Hampshire University. I discovered my answer to that infamous question “What do you want to be when you grow up?” when I was thirteen. The answer is an author. In the past two years I’ve written three manuscripts and am working on realizing that big dream of publication. All my novels are contemporary Young Adult fiction. Some of the topics my books deal with are abuse, abandonment, bullying, finding yourself, kidnapping, family dynamics, cliques, first loves, and struggling to survive. My personal favorite authors include Andrew Smith, Laurie Halse Anderson, Michael Harmon, Lish McBride, Jay Asher, David Klass, J.K Rowling, and J.R.R. Tolkien. When I’m not writing or doing homework I play a lot of video games. Games, movies, TV, and even music are all other forms of storytelling to me. There are many stories to find out there and even more waiting to be told. Writing is what I love. It’s a necessity to me as important as air or water. Even if it never becomes “what I do when I grow up” I’ll keep writing anyway. I may have a stack of unpublished manuscripts in my house one day, but that’s okay. Going after a dream is not a failure. You grow, you learn, and you discover yourself along the way. That’s a pretty rewarding journey if you ask me.
